Obituary for Thomas Hill Jr Thomas Hill Jr was born June 1, 1919 in Peculiar, Mo and died February 16, 2017 in Kansas City, Mo from complications of a fall in the home. He is the son and youngest of three children of Thomas and Jennie Hill. In high school Tom was an orchestra member and an outstanding basketball player. During WW II he enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he became an instructor in communications and turret gunnery. While still in the service he and Pearl Miller were married. They had one child, Patricia Jane. After the service Tom became an apprentice machinist and then a journeyman machinist for Independent Electric Machinery Co. where he worked for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, golf and followed most other sports. Upon retirement he took up golf as a very serious pass time, four and five times a week. Tom was preceded in death by sisters Hazel Goodfellow and Dorothy Morgan, wife Pearl Miller Hill, daughter Patricia Jane Williams and granddaughter Kimberly Williams. He is survived by grandson Jason Williams, great granddaughter Brecklynn Williams, great grandson Braxton Williams, nephews Robert Morgan and Gary Morgan and nieces Myrna Shaw and Linda Ferrel.
