Teresa Garcia Medina

Our beloved mother, Teresa Garcia Medina, 95, passed away on January 8, 2019 surrounded by family in the comfort of her home in Kansas City, MO. Teresa was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. Teresa was a member of La Union Cultural Mexicana Feminil, Las Guadalupanas and Sacred Heart/Guadalupe Catholic Parish.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Carlota Hernandez and Cristobal Garcia; her husband, Agustin “Chino” Medina; her sister, Carlota Garcia; and her brother, Chris Garcia. Teresa is survived by her beloved sister, Jessie Nieto; her four children and their spouses, Maria (Enrique) Chaurand, Cris (Mary) Medina, Yolanda (Mike) Casey, and Sandy Medina; nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. with Rosary following at 6 p.m. on Friday January 11th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Avenida Cesar E. Chavez. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine with Internment immediately following in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland Ave, Kansas City, MO.
