Sharon Margie (Bucher) Whitfill

Sharon Margie (Bucher) Whitfill was born September 9, 1939 to Frank Shelby and Beulah Delores (DeVere) Bucher in Kansas City, MO. She passed away June 3, 2024 at NorthCare Hospice House, North Kansas City, MO.

Funeral service is 12:30 PM Monday, June 10th, with visitation from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.

Sharon was a life-long resident of Kansas City and a 1958 graduate of Paseo High School. She was a devoted mother, raising three daughters, Kim, Karen and Kay. Sharon enjoyed family, playing cards, flea markets and Happy Hour. She retired as supervisor of Personal Property with the Assessor’s Office of Clay County, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Donnie, Arvella, Sammy, Art, Babe, Jackie, and LaNora Belle; the father of her children, William R. Whitfill; and the love of her life, Wilfried (Willie) Hattesohl.

Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Leesley and husband, Jeff, Karen Mulloy and Mike, and Kay Harris and Bill; sister-in-law and best friend, Pat Mora; Niece Frankie Johnson; grandchildren, Bobbi, Jason, Willie, Allison, and Brittany; great grandchildren, Tim, Andrew (Mulloy), Jordan, Kierra, Andrew (Moore), Josh, and Claire; great-great grandson, Allen; and numerous other nieces and nephews who all brightened her life.

Sharon’s family and friends will miss her smile, sense of humor and the laughter she brought to their lives.
