Ryan was born October 1, 1987 in Kansas City and lived most of his life in Overland Park, Kansas. He played varsity football at Shawnee Mission South, graduating in 2006. He worked as a warehouseman for Wholesale Sheet Metal.
Ryan was a very caring and kind person, with an unforgettable infectious laugh. He liked to work with his hands and to use his skills to help his family and friends. Ryan struggled for years with substance abuse and finally lost the battle against his addiction. His grievous injuries in a July 2013 auto accident left Ryan with constant pain, compounding his personal struggle. Yet in the midst of all of this, Ryan reaffirmed his commitment to Jesus Christ, and we are confident that Ryan is home in heaven.
