She was born June 3rd, 1947 in Kansas City, MO. Daughter of Morton and Mary (Van Kemseke) Rice.
She dearly loved God's critters, and cared for many of them through the years. Cats, dogs, birds, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, she loved them all. From taking in strays, to hand feeding baby birds who had fallen from their nests. Bottle feeding a baby kitten who would have not survived without her and became one of her most treasured companions.
She was, and still is a much beloved Mother, Gramma and friend, and is loved deeply by those closest to her. She will be greatly missed, but will live on in their hearts.
She was preceded in her passing by her parents, and two brothers, Riley Morton Rice and Ennis Rice.
She is survived by her daughters Tammy Marie Newsome and Theresa Michelle Wood; grandchildren Austin James Wood, Savannah Rose Wood and Jackson Roger Wood. Also, her step-daughters Suzanne Marie Maschler and Cynthia Lee Johnson and their father James Edward Maschler.
