Robert J. Meyers, 85, passed away September 27, 2017. Robert was born February 20, 1932 in Missouri Valley, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Helen Meyers. Robert was a history teacher and a football coach at St. Mary’s in Independence, De La Salle and Smith Hale Junior High School both of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances Meyers; 2 brothers, Tom and Jim Meyers; a sister, Joanne and a son, David. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Stuart Beebe; grandson, Donald Penn and wife Sarah and 2 great grandchildren, William and McKenzie Penn. Visitation will be Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 11am-12 pm, Mass will begin at 12 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
