RICHARDSON FRANK LYNN Richardson (“Rich”) F. Lynn, died on December 24, 2016, just two weeks after family and friends joined him to celebrate his 87th birthday. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on December 11, 1929, to Alice Richardson Lynn. His parents were divorced shortly after his birth and his father had no further contact with him. He graduated from high school in Dayton, Ohio, and attended Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas, for one year, before marrying Lavanda Mae Fielder of Lepanto, Arkansas, with whom he had four children. Following her death, in 1957, he married a young widow, Myra Redd Warren, of Marked Tree, Arkansas, who had three children. The new family of nine moved first to Batesville, Arkansas, then in 1959 moved to Hickman Mills, Missouri. After thirty-nine years of marriage, Myra Lynn, preceded him in death. In 1998, he married Betty Jo Ferryman, who survives him. He was an active member of the Grandview Church of Christ from 1959 until his death, serving as an elder for more than fifty years. While working two jobs to support his family, he attended what is now the University of Central Missouri part-time for many years, obtaining both the bachelors and masters degrees in accounting. He then earned his C.P.A. license. He had an accounting firm with Leonard Koenigsdorf, and later served as the chief financial officer for U.S. Toy. After retiring from his full-time job, he continued to do tax work for numerous clients until recently. He is survived by his seven children: Bill Warren, Larry Warren, Glenda Scott, Richard Lynn, Annette Dalton, David Lynn, and Dennis Lynn, as well as Betty’s daughter, Stacy Mieser. He had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at the Grandview Church of Christ, 12500 Grandview Rd, on Monday, Jan. 2, at 4PM. Visitation will start at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in honor of Richardson F. Lynn to York College, York, Nebraska, Wayside Waifs, or Grandview Church of Christ.
