Raymond Toey Yingling,70, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away June 13, 2011 at his home. Ray was born September 3, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, where he lived most of his life. Ray graduated from Northeast High School in 1958. He studied at St. Paul's Seminary for one year. He served in the National Guard for two years in the Medical Corps. Ray's vocation was professional dog-grooming for 40 years. He was the owner/operator of his dog-grooming business, Canine Fashions. His mother was his receptionist for many years. He raised, showed and sold Shitsu dogs. Ray was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Parish. He gave generously to the renovation of their building. Ray helped others. He provided new clothes for a young boy to be baptized at his church. He gave a house to some friends. He was the caretaker for his mother in her last years. Ray was preceded in death by his parents Toey and Mildred Yingling and one brother Ronald Barney. He is survived by brother Jim Barney of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; three cousins Carol Ann LaVella and Bill Wilson, both of Kansas City and Jim Wilson of California and their families; two nieces, five nephews, extended relatives and many friends. Ray's life was his work, church, family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 20th, at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
