I am saddened to hear the news about Paul.  I have been retired from Travelport for almost 7 years but prior to doing so had the opportunity and pure pleasure to work with Paul on numerous occasions.  Paul was quite simply one of the smartest, brightest and most talented programmers I ever worked with.  In addition, he was one of the most polite individuals I have ever met.  He would always refer to me a “Sir” or “Mr.” when we would talk about whatever issue he was working on even though he had been told many times to just call me Scott.  Paul will truly be missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to Paul’s family and friends.  May God give you the strength and comfort to get through this most difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear about Paul's passing. I had worked for Travelport/Worldspan in KC during my earlier years with the company. Paul was a huge support system for our team as well as for many other colleagues. I recall and enjoyed a number of conversations with him.

I am so so sad about Paul's passing, I had such admiration for him, he was so dedicated, he could figure out things in no time, always coming up with the perfect solution, but Paul also had a great sense of humor, it was hard to see behind his shyness but once you knew Paul you could joke with him.   I will miss those nice chats with him.

I worked with Paul a number of years at Worldspan and Travelport and he was probably the ten best (equal to ten men) programmers I have ever worked with and his joy seemed to be in tracing down online programming issues and correcting them even in the middle of the night. He was a humble man who was blessed with great talent, when I would point out some of his almost miraculous program corrections ( fixing other programmers work - his fix made even more amazing by how very fast he accomplished them), he would act like it was no big deal and then point out some of my program designs he was impressed with . Wow so sorry to hear this, I knew Paul in high school. He was a cool guy, my condolences are with you and his family.

I  was very saddened to hear about Paul passing. He was a very, very smart man and I worked with him at Travelport. And he will truly be missed by all.

It was a very difficult day for so many of us when we learned of Paul's passing.  It has been an absolute privilege to work with someone so brilliant yet so humble.  There was never a time when Paul would not stop what he was doing (and trust me he would have been heads down working on some clever way to improve our system) to answer any question he was asked no matter how large or small.  We have been sharing our Paul stories with one another and Andrey Shivkov remembered a conversation they had years ago in the KC office.  Andrey said to Paul 'Fares & Pricing is so huge that one can't know it all'.  Paul looked at him and replied 'What do you mean?  If one works in the area he can know it'.  Paul certainly lived up to his comment!!  He knew our system like no other!  My  prayers for peace, comfort and strength are with the family.

It is a totally unexpected shock to hear of Paul's passing. I am still trying to get my head around it. Paul was a colleague at Travelport/Worldspan for a number of years and I can certainly say it was a privilege to have known him. His comprehensive grasp of complicated and convoluted applications was not only impressive but invaluable, to me at least, and he never hesitated to share his knowledge. I'm sure he saved my bacon a number of times! What a loss to his families, both personal and professional. He will long be in my thoughts and prayers.

I was sad to hear of Paul’s passing.  He was a brilliant man and an invaluable resource at Worldspan/Travelport.   I met him shortly after he started work at Worldspan, when he came to me to ask a few questions to ensure his understanding of a complex system I had worked on for years was correct.  It was!  I was so blown away that I wrote his name down to be sure I didn’t forget it.  My team and I used him as a resource for years!  He was always patient, kind and helpful.  We were so lucky to have him.

He was very helpful whenever we reached out to him for any kind of technical help. He was a Master of various technologies.

i have warm memories of Paul:  Brilliant, innovative, kind, patient - and willing to listen. ALWAYS helpful. 

He was  a mentor to anyone, including non-techies, who wanted/needed a better understanding of the technology in his area. 

I know he leaves a huge hole in his professional team that may never be filled.

It is very sad to hear about Paul leaving us so suddenly. Paul was a very good colleague, very knowledgeable at work and always ready to help.
I remember him working willingly during weekends to resolve an issue that he heard about the week before. He was very generous of his time.
He will be missed.

Paul's passing was such sad news.   I worked with Paul many years at Travelport.  He was the smartest person I ever knew, but he always made time to help when anyone had a question (and he really knew the answers).   We were all in awe of the breadth of his knowledge.
 
Although he was quiet and reserved, he had a dry and funny sense of humor.  Occasionally he would make a joke, and it would take me a moment to realize it (he would have a small grin on his face).  I'll miss catching up with him at the occasional lunches we had with former Travelport colleagues.

Paul was a very kind person and will truly be missed.

Just to say that Paul will be missed is a big understatement. He was such a gem of a person, the humblest person I have ever met.  His legacy will long live in the work he has done. He possessed such a great wealth of knowledge and was always ready to help others.  

You have gone too soon Sir but you will never be forgotten.  Your modesty, your contributions will always be remembered. I will always see you in every line of code you have written.

Paul is definitely that one person everyone would love to have in their life be it as a family member, friend or a colleague. A legend, genius and especially a man with zero ego and haters. He is a saviour and will remain such in all our memories forever. It is hard to accept that his physical presence might not be with us but for sure his memories and legacy both in the professional and more importantly in the personal life will remain for years to come. Thank you so much Paul for being an inspiration and teaching the way of life for many with your actions. I would like to thank his family and friends for allowing us to know him and build some memories with him. 

During this tough time, wish the family and friends all the strength and support. Thank you once again Paul for being the person you are.

Paul was not only a brilliant colleague, but also someone who was willing to help whenever and wherever he was needed.  He was definitely in a league of his own.
