Pamela Joyce Hower

Pamela Joyce Hower, 70, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born May 22, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Donald and Barbara Krueger. She departed this life, Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 9:20 am, in her home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, with her daughters by her side.

Pam was a graduate of Ruskin High School, class of 1969.

She was married to Buster Hower on November 8th of 1969, they later divorced but remained life-long friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Lynn Hower, son Joseph Micheal Hower, son Jeffrey Scott Hower, father Donald Raymond Krueger, and mother Barbara Jean Krueger.

She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Denise Elliott of Pleasant Hill, Jillissa Jean Joles of Blue Springs; Seven grandchildren, Taylor Christian of Pleasant Hill, Emily Belcher of Grandview, Timothy Belcher of Pleasant Hill, Isaac Belcher of Pleasant Hill, Bennet Hower of Pleasant Hill, Grace Hower of Oak Grove, and Canton Elliott of Pleasant Hill; two grandson in laws, Logan Christian of Pleasant Hill and Joseph Williamson of Grandview; daughter in law Jennifer Hower of Oak Grove; two sisters Denise Pearce of Independence, and Patricia Weeks of Lee’s Summit, Brother in Law Jim Weeks of Lee’s Summit, and her cat Sugar of Pleasant Hill. Extended family Buster Hower of Peculiar, Glynis Hower of Peculiar, Kayla McElroy of Clinton, and Christopher Hower of Peculiar.

Pam worked as an Optometrist for Sam’s Club from 1998, until she retired in 2012.

Her best friend in life was Connie Bogan as well as a multitude of friends she came to know over the years.

She loved animals of all kinds, shopping, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and most of all her love of God. Being born again in the name of Jesus Christ was important to her for all her loved ones. She went home knowing Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

A peaceful and quiet service will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Saturday February 19th, 2022. Visitation will precede at 1pm. 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. Phone number 816-353-1218. Graveside services will be held immediately following.
