Olin Ray Gaines, 65, passed away November 19, 2014. Visitation will be from 1 – 2 PM Tuesday, November 23, 2014 at Floral Hills Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 2 PM. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Olin was a lifelong area resident. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the Screaming Eagles 101st Airborne. Olin worked as a groundskeeper for Blue Hills Country Club for many years before retiring in 2009. Olin was preceded in death by his wife, Lois in 2008. Survivors include two children, Olin Gaines, Jr. and Carol Hermon and her husband Brian; a brother, Sonny Gaines; 3 sisters, Carolyn Columbo, Vi Cooper and Neva Gaines and many grandchildren. D. W.
