Ms. Norma Carol Howell

Norma Carol Howell, age 80, of Independence, MO, passed away January 16th at her daughter's home in Blue Springs, MO. Norma was born in Frederick, KS to Earl and Lula Howell. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Monty Morris; sisters, Maxine Bruenig and Earlene Malone.

Norma retired from AT&T where she worked for many years. She loved babies, taking care of kids and family members. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching old westerns on TV and planting flowers. She also enjoyed listening to Neal Diamond and Elvis Presley music, and going to the Santa-Cali-Gon cerebration each year in Independence, MO. In her earlier years you could always find her at an auction, estate sale or crappie fishing. Her Great Grandson Ryse brought her much joy and captured a special place in her heart in later years.

Norma is survived by two daughters, Sherry Hill (Mike) , Stashia Annette Morris; two grandchildren Sara Curry and Morgan Curry; and her great grandson Ryse Curry; three sisters Bonnie Donegan, Kakie Dunbar and Angie Sutherland; two brothers, Robert Howell and Dennis Howell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19th 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, followed by her Funeral Service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
