Norma was born on July 7, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was raised in Columbia, MO. until the age of 16 when she and her mother moved to Dothan, Alabama.
In 1955, they moved to Kansas City, MO. Norma was working in a shoe store when she met Kenny Cunningham and they married in 1961. They soon purchased their home where she lived until her passing on January 17, 2022.
They raised three children; her years consisted of weekends with family and friends, fishing and camping trips, bluegrass festivals and numerous activities and sporting events of her children and grandchildren.
Norma enjoyed her morning coffee, reading the newspaper and mystery novels, watching her afternoon soap operas and cheering on the K.C. Royals, Chiefs and Mizzou Tigers.
Norma was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth Cunningham; parents: Grover and Dora Farrar; sisters Betty Golden and Lorene Mueller.
She is survived by her two sons: Mike (Teresa) Fick and Glen (Debbie) Cunningham; daughter: Lisa Cunningham. Grandchildren: Alex (Jessica) Fick, Ashley (Justin) Smith, Thomas Cunningham, Hailey Cunningham, Stephanie (Carlos) Giraudy. Great Grandchildren: Leo Fick, Lyra Fick, Rosie Giraudy, & Emma Giraudy and many nieces, nephews relative and friends.
A private family burial will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Wayside Waifs of Kansas City.
