Michael Thomas Purnell

Mike was born August 14, 1944 in Omaha, NE to Thomas A. and Mary E. (Miller) Purnell. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; a son, David (Emily) Purnell; and a daughter, Corrine (Eddie) Stein; 3 granddaughters, Charlotte Rose Purnell, Samantha Jean Purnell and Jovie Elizabeth Stein; brothers, J. Gregory (Patti) Purnell, Thomas Purnell, Robert (Lynet) Purnell, George (Sandy) Purnell, James (Linda) Purnell; sisters, Mary Beth (Tom) Kluesner and Patricia Adams; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, John Purnell, Kathryn Pierce, and Margaret Purnell.

Mike was committed to his faith, family, friends and football. His greatest love was spending time in the woods, praying and running his beagles.
