Michael Douglas Corrigan

Michael Douglas Corrigan, died unexpectedly in his home in Overland Park, Kansas on September 27th, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Jaqueline Corrigan. He is survived by his wife, Susie Corrigan, and children Jacob Corrigan, Patrick Corrigan, and Nicole Corrigan. He is also survived by his siblings, Kimberly Corrigan Dodson (John), Chip Corrigan (Annette), and Angela Corrigan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Rosary followed by visitation from 5-7 pm on Monday, October 3rd at Church of Ascension, in Overland Park, Kansas. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday October 4th, also at Church of Ascension.

Mike graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School and received a Bachelor of Marketing degree from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. Mike excelled in soccer all throughout school and college and was a two-time All-American Soccer player. He was also inducted into the Avila Hall of Fame.

He shared his passion for soccer and impacted many lives by coaching his two boys’ soccer teams as well as CYO basketball teams. He was working in sales for Potter's Industries, in the traffic safety industry.

Michael was blessed with countless friends, and everyone who has shared memories of him all will say they will miss his infectious laugh. Celebrating holidays with his family was truly his greatest joy in life. He was an amazing cook and enhanced every occasion with his laughter, love and heart of gold. Everyone who knew him will say he was the kindest, sweetest man they have ever met.
