Mercy was born January 23, 1951 in Chuuk, Micronesia and had lived in Hawaii. At the time of her passing she was visiting her family in Kansas City for the ordination of her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Anso Farata; 10 children, Anser Farata, Anson Farata, Anfa Farata, Anres Farata, Jay Jadwell Farata, Anisy Anso, Afata Farata, Asilei Farata, Mifa Farata, and Mairin Farata; 43 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren; her siblings, Pedrus Samachy, Zorro Samachy, Asachy Samachy, Sonchek Samachy, Samachiro Onno, Isachiro Onno, Maria Rosokow, Sophie Esah, Sangki Kata, Samita Onno.
Mercy was preceded in death by siblings, Samuel Onno, Isachy Sitauo, and Rose Epen.
Funeral services for Mercy are being scheduled in Kansas City. She will be laid to rest on Weno Island in Sapuk Village, Chuuk State, Micronesia. Service details will be made public when confirmed.
