Mary E. Schuyler

Mary E. (Branstetter) Schuyler, 88, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 23, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Church of the Ascension, 9510 W. 127th St., Overland Park, Kansas, with a visitation prior from 1:00-2:30 pm at the Church with a Rosary starting at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Daughters of St. Francis De Sales Association.

Mary was born January 26, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Lula Gildea; her first husband, Homer L. Branstetter; a son, Kelly Branstetter; two daughters, Anne and Angel Branstetter; two grandsons, Sean M. Gray and Christopher Q. (Kit) Branstetter. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Harold Schuyler; a daughter, Leaslie Denny; two sons, Jeff and Dennis Branstetter; a step-daughter, Heidi Schuyler; seven Grandchildren, and twelve Great-Grandchildren.

She was a devout Catholic, a member of the Church of Ascension, and an active member of the Daughters of St. Francis De Sales Association. Mary was very much loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by all.
