Born in Kansas City on November 18, 1945, she was a 1963 graduate of Raytown High School, where she was a member of the pep club.
She married Gary Robbins on June 6, 1964. The couple lived in Grandview, Missouri, until 2003, when they moved to Camdenton at the Lake of the Ozarks.
She was involved in the Sweet Adelines, the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, the Grandview High School Booster Club and the South Suburban Junior Baseball Association, for which she kept many scores. She served as a volunteer for Lake Regional Hospital and Dogwood Animal Shelter.
She enjoyed bingo at Dogwood, the Knights of Columbus and the VFW Post 5923. She enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team, Wheel of Fortune and the movie Camelot. She loved all dogs and her two cats, Willie and Whitney. She adored her grandchildren and took them bowling, to the Hillybilly Park in Gravois Mills and to Disney.
She also once was the top piece of a water-ski pyramid.
Survivors include her husband for 53 years; two sons, Jeff Robbins of Columbia, Missouri, and Kevin Robbins of Austin, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Suzy Robbins of Austin, Texas, and Sandra Lonergan of Columbia, Missouri; four grandchildren, Henry Robbins of Austin, Texas, Lila Robbins of Austin, Texas, Erin Robbins of Columbia, Missouri, and Jackson Robbins of Columbia, Missouri; two brothers, James Kuchinski of Kansas City, Missouri, and C.H. Martin of Sugar Creek, Missouri; two step-grandchildren, Ryan and Jackson Lonergan of Columbia, Missouri; a godson, Ryan Cocherl of Overland Park, Kansas; a special friend, Kathy Robbins of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews and dogs in need of a forever home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan Kuchinski of Grandview, Missouri, and Lola Martin of Raytown, Missouri; and two sisters, Alberta Simmons of Independence, Missouri, and Theresa Freeman of Beaverton, Oregon.
Visitation is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road in Kansas City, Missouri.
