Mary Louise Moore

Mary Louise (Foote) Moore was born March 15, 1937, in Kansas City, MO to Herbert and Maxine Foote. She passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023. Her daughter, son-in-law, and sister were by her side. She graduated from Central High School and the dental hygiene program at UMKC in 1959 and was married to Dorsey Jerome Moore that same year. After graduation, they set out on a 20-year Naval dental career for Dorsey. They had two children, Elizabeth and David. After his retirement, they returned to Kansas City and she went back to practicing dental hygiene. Her second career was as a local tour guide in the city followed by many years of escorting group tours all over the country. Mary’s second love, after family, was travel. She visited all 50 states and five continents during her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, husband, and son, David. She is survived by Elizabeth (Burke) Workman, granddaughters, Rebecca (Keith) Brigman and Caitlin (Kyle) Morgan and grandson, Kyle Downey. There are also seven wonderful great grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 4, at St. Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place, 4301 Madison Avenue, Kansas City, MO.
