Mary Beatrice (Bea) (Schnoebelen) Cole was born on July 13, 1927 in Montrose, MO to Roland and Laura (Putthoff) Schnoebelen. She attended St. Mary's Grade School, Montrose High School and the Kansas City Business College. She was employed by the Kansas City Real Estate Board.
In 1950, she and Marcellus (Bud) Cole were married at Immaculate Conception Church in Montrose. She was the mother of their 6 children. Bea always enjoyed and often held family gatherings in her home. Her special favorite was the Christmas celebration with children and grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, serving as a Communion Minister and worked in the parish office for many years.
Bea (as she was known) was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Adrian and Roland. She is survived by her husband of 71 years and their 6 children ~ Larry (Anne); Jerry (Dawn) (Melinda, Thaddeus, Lydia); Therese Thomsen (John) (Patrick, Travis); Debra Chambers (Cole, Justin, Tyler, Jake); Rosemary Holderby (Tim) (Marcella, Lauren); Brian (Michelle) (Brant, Alexandra), 7 great grandchildren, her sisters Ruth Rotert and Jane Vogel.
We will always remember Bea for the love and care and understanding she extended to all family members and especially her savory brisket at family events.
