Mary Ann was born on June 25, 1952 to John and Amanda (Hasenkamp) Brucken in Kansas City, Missouri. She was 4th among six children; her siblings were Susan, Bob, Linda, Kathy, and Donna.
Mary Ann graduated from Lillis High School in 1970. After graduation, she met the love of her life, Jeff Hueser, in Kansas City, but Mary Ann’s flare for adventure swooped her off to Las Vegas for several years. Mary Ann’s zest for adventure also played out throughout her career where she worked in a variety of industries including banking, manufacturing, and retail.
In 1973, Mary Ann met Jeffrey Hueser. Mary Ann and Jeff married in 1979 and had two children, Angela and Joseph. Mary Ann’s family continued to bud after Joe married Holly Powell in 2006 and Angela married Matt Geels in 2009. Joe and Holly gifted Mary Ann with two grandchildren, Alexis and Evan. Angela and Matt blessed Mary Ann with two grandchildren, Genevieve and Savannah. Mary Ann spent her time in retirement doting on her four grandchildren.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Amanda Brucken; her brother, Bob Brucken; her sisters, Linda (Brucken) Wichmann, Kathleen (Brucken) Campbell, Donna Brucken, Susan (Brucken) Zager.
She is survived by husband, Jeff Hueser; daughter, Angela Geels; son, Joe Hueser; son-in-law, Matt Geels; daughter-in-law, Holly Hueser; grandchildren: Alexis, Genevieve, Evan and Savannah; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation for Mary Ann will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 Northeast Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to NAMI or a mental health organization of choice.
