A Kansas City native, Marsha was a lifelong member of the Catholic community. She attended St. Therese Little Flower, Bishop Hogan High School (’67) and spent her adult life as a parishioner of St. Thomas More.
Marsha was the first child born to Rosemary (Yunker) and Joseph Glynn. She grew up on Euclid Avenue with her four siblings (Joseph, Susan, Patty, and Kathy).
In 1974, despite numerous objections from family and friends, she married Jim Callahan, with whom she recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. They had four children together – Sean, Courtney, Ryan and Danny - and lived in the Verona Hills neighborhood of South Kansas City.
Marsha was a project manager at Sprint for over 20 years. Outside of work, she spent her time drinking wine with friends at her book and investment clubs; traveling to Naples with her sisters and Ireland with her husband; and trying to keep her two sainted boys on the straight and narrow.
Her most recent obsessions were her two grandchildren: Colin (7) and Mallory (5). She loved watching Colin play sports and Mallory sing and dance to Taylor Swift.
Marsha was preceded in death by her two children, Sean and Courtney; her parents Rosemary, Joseph and stepfather, Dale; and her younger sister Kathy.
She leaves behind her husband, Jim; her two boys, Ryan (Stefanie) and Danny; and her two grandchildren, Colin and Mallory.
Marsha also leaves her siblings: Susan (Glenn) Hemberger, Patty Glynn, and Joseph Glynn; her sisters-in-law, Marianne Damon, Joni (Tom) Kelly and Kathleen Callahan; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
