Margaret married Robert Taylor on Sept 24, 1960. Her beloved “bear”. They loved and laughed together for 31 years. They enjoyed many “see the USA in a Chevrolet” trips. Robert preceded her death on August 12, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her brother Charles F. Dorrance, and “best friend” sister Mary E. Miller.
She was employed by AMC theatres for 31 years. She managed the Management Information System and retired in 1989. She received the SHOW-A-RAMA’s Women of the year award in 1985 for recognition to her service in the motion picture industry.
Margaret served as Secretary / Treasurer of the Armour Hills Homes Association for 21 years. In 1999 she received the first Jim Gary Neighborhood Spirit Award by the Homes Associations of Kansas City. Margaret enjoyed the 5K Trolley Run, received first place for her age bracket 75 year old.
After retirement from AMC, she used her used her management skills to run the bookkeeping office of KC Coring & Cutting Construction Co which had 11 locations in 5 states.
Margaret was affectionately known to her family and friends as Aunt Pete. Pete was a childhood nickname given to her by her beloved sister Mary. Aunt Pete and Mary were inseparable. They shared each other lives from childhood, to young adults and after they both married, both families purchased a home duplex together. Best friends for life. Mary passed away in 1997 and Aunt Pete confided many times how much she missed her sister. We believe they are back together with the Lord.

She is survived by nephews Timothy Miller (Barbara), Matthew Miller (Stefani), Paul Dorrance, niece Anne Dorrance (Steve Negaard), and many great nephews and nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces.
