Margaret (Peggy) Love was born in April 1935 in Allentown, PA to Elwood and Lillian Schell. She was the youngest of 4 children and she often shared stories of time she spent with her siblings, their families and the close bonds that they had. She had a very full and blessed life. At the age of 88, she departed from her physical body and ascended into Heaven on December 16, 2023 after her battle with Hodgkin Lymphoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 siblings, her husband Cliff and her son Glen.
Family and friends all call her Peggy. Her children and grandchildren often call her Super Grammy. She has 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren whom she adored. This wonderful family started as a result of her 20 year marriage to Donald Burkit Sr. who passed in 2017. It expanded when Peggy remarried at the age of 60, to Clifford Love who passed in 2005.
Peggy's 5 children include: Donald Burkit Jr and Julie Brooks, Diane Pennington, John Burkit and Jude Govreau, Glen Burkit, Maria and Joshua Horne.

Peggy also has many family members through Cliff, along with nieces, nephews and other extended family, all of whom she loved dearly!
Peggy liked to say, "My children are my life".
Peggy spent many years employed as an executive secretary, catering manager for a large hotel chain and later enjoyed caring for young children at a Montessori School. Peggy also had a passion for fellowship and supporting her long time church family at Coronation of Our Lady Parish. She inspired others by example with the way she showed love for her family! She lived to celebrate birthdays, holidays, accomplishments, any opportunity to gather, have food, laugh, share and be grateful for the love of family!! She started every entrance to a room, every conversation, every phone call, every card, every letter… always with “Hello, Hello, Hello”. Her cheerful spirit and loving heart will be missed terribly by her family and many friends but she would not want this to be seen as an end but rather as “until I see you again”!
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made: “In honor of Peggy Love” to Coronation of Our Lady Parish in Grandview, Missouri.
Services will be at: 11:00 am, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Coronation of Our Lady Parish 13000 Bennington Ave. Grandview, Missouri 64030. Following the service the family will proceed to Mount Moriah Cemetery for burial. They will then will return to Coronation of Our Lady Parish for lunch and fellowship. Everyone is welcome.
