She was the loving mother of Lori (Stan) Ellsworth, Daniel (Terri) Engle and James (Tina) Engle. She was the beloved grandmother of Sean (Harleigh) Ellsworth, Joshua (Kendra) Ellsworth, Dawson, Regan, Ari and Ellianna Engle. She was the beloved great-grandmother of Wyatt, Mahon, Faelan and Meadowlark Ellsworth. Dear daughter of the late Gregory and Catherine Klein. Much loved sister of Carole (Jerry) Werbrich, Dick (Suzann) Klein, Pat (Mike) Hill and her late brother Tom (Kathy) Klein.
Peg was born on July 9, 1940. She was raised in a Catholic home with Catholic education. She graduated from Regina High School in Cincinnati. After graduation, she worked with her father at Hamilton Mutual Insurance. She later met and married Paul. She gave birth to Lori and then moved to St. Louis Park, MN. After living in MN for 12 years, and giving birth to Dan and Jim, they were transferred to Kansas City. Peg was very active in her children’s activities from being the classroom mom to being the secretary for the Johnson County Amateur Hockey Association. She was also actively involved in the women’s group at Holy Cross Church. She went back to work first for Bannon Education and then for Venneman Sale.
Her favorite things to do were cooking, baking and crosswords puzzles. She was also a huge fan of music and loved to sing along. But what she loved the most was spoiling her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 12:00 Noon at Church of the Holy Cross, 8311 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, KS.
Because Peg was a breast cancer survivor, in lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be sent to Susan G. Komen at www.komen.org.
