Lela Jo Toyne

Lela Jo Toyne, 77, Cameron, Missouri, formerly of Lake Waukomis, Missouri for more than 30 years, passed away April 5, 2016 at Cameron Nursing & Rehab Center. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Private entombment in the Temple Mausoleum at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Lela was born April 21, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of John L. and Myna E. (Mayfield) Parscale. Working many years as a hairstylist, she touched many lives and established lasting friendships. Lela was extremely talented, she created beautiful works of art including unique items made from everyday objects, of course, they had to include glitter.

Her true joy in life was her family, especially her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Toyne. Lela is survived by her daughters Sandy (Levin) Lowery and Cindy Ricketts; son Lenny (Kim) Toyne; grandchildren Zachary, Hailey, Kayla and Hayden; extended family and friends.
