L.A. Clark, 60, Olathe, died on Sunday, April 10th, 2011 at Overland Park Regional Hospital. L.A. Clark was born on September 9th, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas, son of Laurence A. Clark and Aldean Clark. He graduated from Wamego High School in 1968 and went into Custom Combining throughout the Midwest. It was during this time that he met his wife. He married Brenda Jackson on July 6th, 1974 at Wamego, Kansas. She survives. Once married, L.A. and Brenda farmed in Eskridge, Kansas for 12 years. L.A. enjoyed farming and grew milo, wheat, and raised Charlolais cattle with his father and brother on approx. 1500 acres. L.A. was employed at McLane Food Services for 17 years where he made many lifelong friends. He was an avid KU basketball fan and passed this love along to his children and grandchildren. On a recent vacation, L.A. had the pleasure of meeting Bill Self and got his picture taken. This was the last picture he took. Along with his wife, Brenda, he is survived by his daughter Amy, his son Eric, a brother, Fritz Clark, a sister, Lauren Kaine, and six grandchildren: Austin, Brittney, Christopher, Andrew, Lucas and baby Jade due in May. L.A. will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO.
