Born on December 14, 1952 in Montebello, CA to Raymond and Bonna Piper, Kathy grew up in La Habra, CA and attended La Habra High School.
Kathy was an amazing mother, grandmother, friend, and crafter. She never met a person she couldn’t talk to. Kathy loved to be creative and loved a good sale at Hobby Lobby. She was also passionate about her animals-which could range from dogs and cats to goats and chickens. Her greatest love was her only grandchild, Olivia. She loved to babysit Olivia and let her be creative with crafts (because Olivia’s mom never caught the craft bug). Kathy was also over the moon excited about her new grandson that is making his arrival in early September.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bonna, and her sister, Lindy. She is survived by her daughter Leann (Jamisen), granddaughter Olivia, brother Raymond (Virginia), aunt Marlene, and cousins Dana (Bill) and Todd (Alma).
Kathy will be remembered for her kindness, her love of being around people and chatting, cackling laugh, wearing excessive jewelry (especially turquoise), always wearing a hat of some sort, and for being the best mom, grandma, and friend. She is already deeply missed.
There will be no formal memorial service at this time. Her daughter would like to thank the staff and friends Kathy made while living at Brookdale Wornall Place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to KC Pet Project or another charity of your choice.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
