Karri Ann Eddy of Belton, MO, passed away April 22, 2017. She was born August 31, 1971 in North Kansas City, MO to Clyde and Loretta (Long) Eddy. She was “the middle sister” to Michael and Dennis Eddy. At age 20, she married Kevin Long and they became parents to Joey, Mercedes and Brittany Long.
Karri was a hand-stitch quilter and had a passion for all types of arts and crafts. An avid reader, she also loved music, particularly rock music. Some of her “cigarette-worthy” artists were Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Rob Zombie, Pink Floyd, KISS, Blue October just to name a few. She loved hanging out with her family and friends. Karri was often described as a real “Party Animal” and loved having fun in general!
Karri was devoted to her family and was a terrific mother and confidant to her children. She would always help anyone see the brighter side of any situation. She made friends everywhere she went. That base of loyal friends would remain with her through her fight against breast cancer.
Karri had a most distinctive, infectious laugh and one couldn’t help but join her once she laughed. Her memory will always bring a smile to those she leaves behind: son, Joey (Laura) Long; daughter, Mercedes (fiancé Jeff Lynn); daughter, Brittany Long; loving former husband, Kevin Long; father, Clyde Eddy; brothers, Michael (Michelle) and Dennis Eddy; niece and nephews; and many, many friends. Her mother preceded her in death in July 2016.
You will always be “Our Sunshine!”
