Judith "Judy" Ann Gartner

Judith Ann Gartner, age 78, of Kansas City, MO passed away on August 19, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11AM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 4737 N. Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, MO 64117. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 6-8 PM, with rosary prayed at 5:30 PM, at the church. Burial will follow services in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.

Judy was born in St. Louis, MO to Rose (Dohr) and Emil Zolezzi on April 27, 1943. She graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School. She was married 20 years to William “Bill” Gartner until his passing in 1983. After raising 5 children, she worked at Assurant, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church since 1966 and served on the Altar Society. She was part of Marriage Encounter and started a Young Marrieds Group with Bill.

She is survived by children, Ken (Justine) Gartner, Kelly (Joe) Shultz, Jeff (Lori) Gartner, Jennifer (Ian) Rabang, Kristi Gartner, grandchildren, Stephanie (Devin) Smith, Courtney Gartner, William (Hannah) Shultz, Eric (Abby) Shultz, Sarah Gartner, Andrea Shultz, great-granddaughter, Abigail and 2 on the way, brother, Richard (Janet) Zolezzi, aunt, Marie Donnegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be given to Little Sisters of the Poor, Kansas City.
