Joyce Lynn Cain, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. Born on November 1, 1948, Joyce lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments.
As a talented beautician, Joyce had a remarkable ability to make others feel beautiful inside and out. She later retired from a fulfilling career in customer service at Sam's Club, where her friendly smile and warm demeanor made her a favorite among customers and colleagues alike.
Joyce’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Dena Smith (Shawn) and Deborah Cress-Evans (James), as well as her adored grandchildren: Ryan Martin (Mychala), Brooke Martin (Keatin), Brianna Cress-Brunk (Kyle), and Bailee Cress. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Ryder Duane, Kyler Lee, Declyn Grey, Sylas Moone, and Blade Ryane.
Joyce is remembered fondly by her siblings, Judy Cain, Toni Varnum (Brad), Debbie Cain, and Freddie Cain (Angie), and is preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Cain, and her brother Johnnie Cain.
A memorial service to honor Joyce’s life will be held on September 24, 2024, at Newcomers Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri 64133. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared.
Joyce Lynn Cain will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her light and kindness will continue to inspire us every day.
