Dearest Friends, Family, and Co-Workers of my Dad’s;
We all know that my dad was a great person, friend, and most of all a great Dad!!! We are gathered here today to celebrate… not grieve about my dad passing on; my dad is in a much better place. Yes, it will be different without him, but with all of your help we will make it through the hardest of times. There have been many miracles in my world since he has passed on, for instance there was a page with a flower on it in my notebook that was never there before!!! Another great thing about my dad was that he was sooooo smart about everything!!!! He would always know all of the answers to my questions!!!!! He was a great Dad!!! I loved and still love him sooooo much!!!! All of you also have been influenced by my Dad, he was a great person… that is the reason why all of you are here. My Dad loved me and my family all sooooo much!!! My dad gave me some helpful signs on Monday morning… and one of them was something that helped me look at him passing on differently… it might help all of you look at it differently, so here it is in my own words……………
I can talk to him, but he will talk back in different ways, or give me signs!!!
He will watch over me and help me succeed
And nothing will change around the house or anything like that!!!
Also about two or three weeks ago my Mom, Abbie, my Dad and Me were watching the movie "Dolphin Tail", and when we were watching it my Dad said “In my second life I want to come back as a dolphin” and I THOUGHT THAT that was just such a coincidence and now whenever you see a dolphin you will look at it differently!!!
I am sooooo glad that all of you came!!! And, I'm SOOOO glad that my dad had sooooo many people that loved him!!!
A good saying about this experience is…
When one door of happiness closes, another one opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one that has been opened for us!!!
-Helen Keller
So let’s agree to not be the person who looks at the closed door for so long that we don’t see the opened one!!! My Dad would have wanted it that way!!!
