Joe had the most gentle spirit and his smiley eyes could light up any room. He never met a stranger and always told the best stories. His granddaughter remembers the story of how he lost his toe on a field trip to the zoo and the tiger bit it right off. Additionally, during his retirement he loved vacationing to Florida and spending time with his wife and family. He adored playing golf with his cousins and deeply cherished their time together. He also enjoyed bowling and played in several leagues. He valued his time spent with his grandkids and treasured every moment with them. Also, he never hesitated to spoil his grand dogs, Sadie, Maggie, and Sugar. You would always find Joe wearing a Scally Cap and Crocs while wearing a button up shirt and pajama pants.
