We will be honoring his life on August 19, 2024 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation will be held at 1pm, Service at 2pm, and graveside to follow.
Jack was born in Kansas City, Missouri, September 5, 1940 and was soon adopted by his parents John Sr. & Marguerite Casburn. He grew up in and around the greater Kansas City area and graduated from Westport High School in 1958. After graduating from college in 1960 with his Professional and Electrical Engineering degree he set out on an over 60 year career. The depth and breadth of his professional life are too numerous to recount but his favorites included the Negro Legues Basball Museum, the Independence Square, the Drum Room at the Presidental Hotel, Truman Medical Center East, and countless hospitals, medical clinics, churches, and restaurants. Jack’s career brought him great fulfillment as is shown by his many accomplishments.
Jack is preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn, and first son, Todd. He is survived by his former wife Nancy Casburn; his children Tonya Owens, Nathan Casburn, Heather Harper, and Corey Casburn; and grandchildren Amy, Seth, Stephen, Ian, and Jameson.
