We knew Jesse & Rosemary for years  We shared many good times with them at Holy Spirit.  The most prominent  memory is  Jesse’s 98 Oldsmobile.  We had a son who wrecked several of our cars,  Bill shared this information with Jesse.  He said I’ll sell you my 98 Oldsmobile.  We bought it and David drove it through college and never had another wreck .  He even chose the girl who would one day be his wife, and she willing ride in the “bomb” as it was commonly called.
Jesse was a super friend and gracious man. Our love goes out to his family and May God’s loving mercy surround them in love.

Rosemary and Jesse had been good friends of ours for a long time.
He was one of a kind and a pleasure to know.  Now that Jesse and  Doug are both gone, I don't see Rosemary as often as I would like, but still consider her to be a good friend.

God bless Jesse and Rosemary.  I ask God to give Rosemary comfort and peace  and give to Jesse eternal rest.

Jesse was a special friend.  Always with a smile and always there to help.  He is still missed.   I'm  glad Rosemary continues to be a part of my life.

Rosie, I just learned of Jesse’s passing.  I always looked forward to seeing him after Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Both of you were always so kind to me.  Hope you remember who I am - I dated Silvia Lyons son Dwayne for a number of years in the 80’s.  My parents are Ron and Barbara Eamma.  I sang in the 11:30am folk choir.  Anyway, I have very fond memories of talking to Jesse and thought he was an amazing man.  Prayers for you sweet Rosie…

Having returned to Kansas City, my forever home, after a few years away, I met Jesse and Rosemary at church, the place they spent so much time and had so many friends.  Over the next several years we grew closer and deeper in friendship.  Jesse and Rosie's unending generosity is legendary.  

They became a part of the Johnson family, and we part of the Gonzales family.  I can only hope to emulate the love that Jesse and Rosie have always demonstrated.  Jesse will be missed dearly, but his legacy will live forever!


It has been a long long time since we saw you Rosemary, but we’ll never forget Jesse and the 98 Oldsmobile he sold us for David.  He drove it all the way through college and never had another wreck!  We called it the tank.

Rosie, you got a "keeper" when you found Jesse, you were the "apple of his eye"!
Jesse, my friend, I will miss you;  your kindness, your humor, and your sense of class - everyone who met you recognized these traits in you and that is why you had so many friends who loved being around you.

I have known Jesse and rosemary for a while they both are such loving and caring individuals to everyone and willing to help others Jesse touched so many lives and enjoyed going out and having fun he always had a story to tell he will be truly missed by all. 

So very sorry Rosemary to hear of your loss.  I knew Jesse for 30 years as a co-worker and more importantly as a friend and comrade. My family has your family and friends in our prayers. 

Rosemary and family, so sorry to hear of Jesse's passing.  He told me so many great stories over the short time we knew each other in the rehab department.  He invited my husband and I to the Hispanic festival a few years ago which was so incredibly sweet of him.  My husband still talks about him buying him a Mexican beer!  He will live on forever in my heart.

I have been friends with Jesse for over 30 years.  We first met at Church in Texas while on several committees together in the late 80's.  We came to learn we both worked in Federal Law Enforcement.  Even after several of my career moves, we maintained our friendship for an additional 22 years because Jesse was the type of person you always want to keep as a friend.  He would do anything he could to help anyone in need.  I kept up with him post-retirement and visited his home in KC multiple times within the last few years, where he treated me like a king.  He is gone way too soon .  If more people would emulate Jesse, the world would be a much better place.  Rosemary should be proud, and take much comfort, to have selected such a wonderful husband and human being.  I know he felt grateful you became his wife.  I will keep all of his immediate family in my prayers.
