Jesse Aguirre, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 31, 2011 at his home. He was a proud member of the United States Coast Guard. He worked at Thomas J. Lipton for 30 years, and was a member of Sacred Heart-Guadalupe Parish. Jesse was a man with a loving spirit who was devoted to his family. He graced us with a warm smile, courageous heart, and a quiet gentle manner. Whenever there was a need, he was there.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Carmen (Hernandez) Aguirre; and brothers, Mike, Tony, and Gilbert Aguirre. He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Abigail; children, Michael Aguirre and his wife, Diana, of Kansas City, KS, Jesse Aguirre, Jr. and his wife, Monica, of Kansas City, MO, Eddie Aguirre and his wife, Sandra, of Olathe, KS, Lisa Macias and her husband, Rick, of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Carmen Rodriguez, Lupe Sauceda, and Maria Elena Rios. He had a special place in his heart for his 10 grandchildren, Joseph, Melissa, Michael Jr., Erica, Kyle, Alec, Marisa, Briana, Julian, Nicholas; and great-granddaughter, Ava. Jesse is also survived by many other family members who loved him.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Monday, April 4 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, Rosary at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Tuesday at Sacred Heart/Guadalupe Church, 2544 Madison, KCMO, with burial in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 907 Cesar Chavez Ave, Kansas City, MO 64108.
