He was born in Merriam, KS, on August 18, 2016 to mother Tu-Trinh Cecelia Hatcher. Jeffrey was wickedly smart, quirky in the most beautiful way, and wholeheartedly accepted by everyone around him. He played soccer, martial arts, was in LEGO club, and was about to start gymnastics. Outside of home and school, he was always at the zoo/aquarium or at a science museum. Jeffrey was “a voracious reader with a hunger for learning that was truly insatiable.” The ultimate Pokémon master, not in the way that he was obsessed with capturing them, but in the way that he wanted to learn more about them and share them.
Jeffrey was a loving soul. His school called him their resident “Keeper of Odd Knowledge”, and he was an excellent teacher. He taught everyone around him something new, to share and to cherish.
His family, friends, and community will deeply miss him.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Children are welcome, and accommodations have been made.
