Jay Warren Grazier, age 94, of Raymore, Missouri, formerly of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Jay was born April 17, 1916 in Simla, Colorado to Luther and Jessie Grazier. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and had been an active member of the Crusaders class. He was retired from the Kansas City School District after 25 years of service, most of those years at Nelson School. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Warren Grazier, a granddaughter Peggy Grazier and two brothers Luther and Lester Grazier. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lorene R. Grazier; three daughters Donna Strope of Port Orange, Florida, Gale Mershon of Cool, California and Kay Whiteside (Terry) of Independence, Missouri; son Michael Grazier of Louisburg, Kansas; two stepdaughters Linda Miller and Judy Setley (Gary); and eleven grandchildren.
