Jannie Marie Lusher, 94, of Kansas City, MO passed away April 1st, 2021. Jannie was born in Pierce City, MO on May 13th, 1926 to Charles and Viola (Shipman) Mettlach. Jannie spent many summers with her cousins in Pierce City after moving to Kansas City.
Jannie married her childhood sweetheart, Charles Lusher June 4th, 1942. She became a mother to Patricia Ann in 1943 when her loving husband was fighting for our country in WWII. After her husband came home from the war, she and Charles became parents yet again to Charles Perry, Jr. in January of 1947.
Jannie worked as a supervisor, in the personalized Christmas card area, at Halls for many years during the Christmas season. She enjoyed being a wife and a mother. She and Charles were able to celebrate their 73rd Wedding Anniversary. Shortly after, her beloved husband Charles died in 2015.
Jannie was a wonderful person to encounter. She befriended anyone she met which in turn left many great friends and family members behind. Jannie was predeceased in death by her parents and her husband. She survived by daughter, Patricia Ann Middleton and son Charles Perry Lusher, Jr (Ann), brother Charles Mettlach (Judy), six grandchildren; Jennifer Woodell (Kevin), Thomas Middleton, Michael Middleton (Lisa), Jason Middleton, Charles Douglas Lusher (Lona) and Joseph Lusher (Tonya), great grandchildren; Melissa Jackson (Danny), Jacob Woodell (Jessica), Chris Jimenez, William Middleton, Roman Middleton, Jennifer Zupancic, Jamie Szczechowski, Alaina Lusher, many great-great grandchildren as well as nephews, nieces and cousins.
