James was born June 18, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Theodore and Irma (Fleming) Dull. Jim grew up in Northeast Kansas City and graduated from Northeast High School. He attended University of Kansas and before graduating he joined the United States Air Force. He completed Pilot training and he flew the F-86 Sabre Jet in the Korean War. Following his service he came back to Kansas City and completed his degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Jim married and is survived by three sons and his wife of 47 years, Patricia Dull. Jim and Pat were members of Colonial Presbyterian Church. He had a passion for flying, fast convertibles and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, sons, Anthony "Tony" Dull and wife, Kat, Todd Dull and wife, Kelly, Chad Dull and wife, Yukako, grandchildren, Stephanie, Trenton, Stephen, Jacob, and Terra, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lucy, Parker, Andrew, Aislynn, Bella, Ellie, Zoey, Ava and Salem Ann. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Suzanna and brother, Ted Dull. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
A Visitation for James will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 12:30pm to 1:00pm at Mt Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. A Funeral Service with full military honors will follow at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A Private Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
