Jim was born on April 25th, 1942 in Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Carder, mother and stepfather James and Vera Yates, sister Linda Carder, and nephew Jeffery Wyckoff. He is survived by his sister Diane Carder Wyckoff, nieces Dannie Grother and Holly Frantzen, great-nieces Johnna Legaretta and Cassidy Grother, and great-nephew Devin Wyckoff.
He was an Army Veteran and a retiree from the U.S.Department of the Treasury. He had a lifelong enjoyment of all thing’s car related with a special fondness for corvettes. He also enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee with his family. He enjoyed having breakfast with his friends at which time they solved many of the world’s problem.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 27, 2021 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Committal Service immediately following in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
