Mr. Glen E Tomlinson

Glen E. Tomlinson, 89 of Independence, MO passed away at his home on April 18, 2015. Glen was born on January 26, 1926 in Kansas City, MO the son of Lester and Goldie (Keller) Tomlinson. On May 13, 1950 he married Patricia A. Tomlinson they shared 65 years of marriage together. He served in the Merchant Marines from 1943-1946 then the United States Army from 1946-1947. He was employed by AC&S Inc. for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church and Asbestos Workers Local #27. He was preceded in death by ten siblings, Frances Bradley, Edith Stolte, Ethel Jean Tomlinson, Lester Tomlinson, Frank Tomlinson, Ralph Tomlinson, Robert Tomlinson, Daniel Tomlinson, William Tomlinson and Kenneth Tomlinson. In addition to his wife Pat, he is survived by sister, Doris Perutelli; a son Glen Tomlinson, Jr. and wife Denise (Wenzel) Tomlinson; three granddaughters, Jennifer Walsh (Ben), Lindy Clark (Justin) and Katie Montoya (Michael J) and five great grandchildren, Austin Montoya, Alexis Montoya, Nicholas Walsh, Alexander Walsh and Taylor Clark. Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at St. Marks Catholic Church in Independence, MO., 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Marks Youth Ministry.
