Gerry was born in New York State and had lived in the Kansas City since 1939. He was an All-State athlete at De La Salle High School in football, baseball and basketball. Gerry was an Air Force veteran. He worked as a pipefitter for 60 years and is a lifetime member of Local #533. Gerry spent countless hours fishing, BBQ’ing and partying at the Lake of the Ozarks, Moons Cove, with his wife Sandy and his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Rose; his wife, Sandy and a sister, Mary Ann.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy and Mary Pat; a son, Gerry, Jr.; two sisters, Jeanie and Kathy; three brothers, Donald, David and Rick; granddaughter, Katie Rose (Derek); two great grandsons, Max and Tommy and his beloved cat, Hunter Lawrence.
The family is requesting donations be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor or to the Bishop Sullivan Center in lieu of flowers.
