He was born on November 19, 1935 in Terre Haute, Indiana. After graduating from Gerstmeyer Technical High School in Terre Haute, he served in the US Army from 1954-1955. He then transferred to the US Air Force from 1955-1956 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He attended Penn Valley Community College in the 1970's. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1960 working for the Kansas City Fire Department and retired with a Captains rank in 1993.
George is survived by his sister, Barbara Porter (El Dorado Hills, CA), daughters, Terry Bickel (Lee's Summit, MO), Brenda Cooper (Kansas City, MO), Linda Maynard (Eureka Springs, AR), girlfriend, Marilyn Suman (Leawood, KS), grandchildren, Cory Bickel, Megan Kaldenberg, Logan & Hunter Cooper, great-grandchildren, Grayson Kaldenberg & Reese Bickel.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Inman, mother, Helen Inman, brother, Kenny Inman, 1st wife, Carol Mills & 2nd wife, Carol Inman.
George enjoyed ballroom dancing, ping pong, crossword puzzles and playing pool. He also enjoyed traveling to Germany and the many cruise ship adventures with Marilyn Suman and his dance group friends.
