Frank was born on January 16, 1936 in Kansas City Missouri and grew up in Raytown. He graduated from Raytown High School and played on the football team and was co-caption of the track team his senior year. In 1955, Frank married the love of his life, Marlene Lockwood. They were married 67 years. That same year Frank began his plumbing apprenticeship and was a member of the Plumbers Local 8 for 67 years. While he lived in Raytown, Frank served on the Board of the Raytown MO Water Department. Frank was an Eagle Scout, an assistant scout master and a member of the tribe of Mic-O-Say. Frank was a member of the Baptist Church over 50 years and loved his relationship with his lord and savior, Jesus Christ. He loved the outdoors and particularly enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, cycling, skiing, running and golfing. He was certified scuba diver and snorkeled. He and his wife also square danced for many years. After he retired, Frank took photography classes, joined a photography club and took pictures for several weddings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Roberts and a sister Barbara Smith. He is survived by his wife Marlene Roberts, his children Robin (Craig) Waters, Tina (Dale) Edsen, Timothy Roberts and Brett Roberts. Brother Don (Carol) Roberts and brother- in- law Jerry Lockwood. Grandchildren Brandon Roberts, Justin (Kate) Roberts, Michelle (Andrew) Ehly and Eric Edsen. Great-granddaughters Eloise and Ada Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Funeral Home with visitation at 10:00 a.m. June 1, 2022. Gravesite service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
