Fran Elizabeth Wheeler

Fran was born October 11, 1959 in Rolla, Missouri to Fern and Milford Gresham. She was one of ten children. Fran loved softball and played throughout school. She met and married Thomas Wayne Rimmer in 1976. They made their home in Liberty, Missouri and had three boys - Jason, Brian, and Travis. After Thomas' death in 1985, Fran moved the boys to Raytown, Missouri. Fran was busy taking the kids to multiple team practices.

In 1989, Fran met Kerry Lynn Wheeler and they were united in marriage on March 23, 1991. Fran was an avid Chiefs fan and she and Kerry enjoyed going to games at the stadium and watching games on TV. They were also busy watching the boys grow into adults and starting families of their own. Fran was most proud of her grandchildren and especially loved spoiling them at Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Wayne Rimmer, her parents Fern and Milford Gresham, her brother Buddy Gresham, sister Janet Hamilton, brother Danny Gresham, and brother Tim Gresham.

Survivors include her husband Kerry Wheeler, son Jason Rimmer with wife Carla and children Grace and Luke Rimmer, son Brian Rimmer and children Nevaeh Rimmer, Alasia Rowlett, and Jakoby Rimmer, son Travis Rimmer with wife April and children Kolby Merrell-Rimmer, Camren Rimmer, and Kalyn Rimmer, close family friends Tammy and Eddie Paul, and siblings Randy Gresham, Jack Gresham, Bev Reed, Doug Gresham, and Ernie Gresham.

A Memorial Service for Fran will be at 5pm Monday, June 5th, 2023 at Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133). Doors will open 15 minutes prior to service starting for everyone to be seated.
