EvaLou Drake passed away December 3, 2014. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 8 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
EvaLou was born August 7, 1925 in Elbow, Arkansas. She grew up on the west side of Kansas City, Missouri. She worked many years at the Kansas City Municipal Court, retiring to travel with her husband Thom. Together they saw the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claude E. and Dorothy O. Mansfield, first husband Charles F. Cartee, husband Thomas E. Drake, Jr., and brother Ralph E. Mansfield. EvaLou is survived by her children Sharron Evans, LaDonna Hicks, Debra Chappelow, Ramona Randall, Pamela Groves, Michael Drake and Rebecca Coffman, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
