Eugene Allen Moore, 81, of Belton, Missouri, passed away November 15, 2012 at VITAS Hospice in Research Hospital.He was born in Horton, Kansas on December 2, 1930 to the late Everett and Vera (Winkles) Moore. Eugene graduated from Southwest High School. He was married to Jaculine Rae (Dunlap) Davi on June 23, 1964. Eugene served in the Air Force before becoming a newspaper pressman for the Kansas City Star, and later the Rocky Mountain News, from which he retired. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, camping or picnicing in the mountains. He always enjoyed learning new things and challenging himself. From solving puzzles and logic problems, to reading history books or National Geographic, he never stopped learning. Eugene had a sharp memory and enjoyed sharing memorable events from his life through great stories that usually started with "did I tell you about the time" or "did I tell you the one about". He had a healthy sense of humor and loved to laugh and smile. He is survived by his wife Jaculine Moore, and five children: Mark Davi, Jana Davi-Dixon, Lisa (Bob) Sperry, Neil (Grit) Moore and Gail (Richard) Huffman. He also is survived by eight grandchildren: Tristan, Devon, Kyler, Jacob, Allissa, Benjamin, Caden and Lilyana. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, November 19th and funeral services 1 PM Tuesday, November 20th at Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home. Burial in Mt.
