Rev. Eugene Roy Harrison C.Ss.R

Rev. Eugene Roy Harrison, C.Ss.R., 62, of Kansas City, MO passed away Feb. 2, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 am Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO. Burial will be in the Redemptorist Cemetery at Ligouri, MO. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 pm at the church.

Fr. Gene was born June 21, 1958 in Richard WA to Homer and Ellen (McFarland) Harrison. Fr. Gene was a US Navy veteran. He was baptized January 28, 1973. He took vows of religious profession in the Redemptorist Congregation on August 15, 1996. He was ordained a Redemptorist priest on July 1, 2001. He served in Redemptorist parishes in Grand Rapids, MI., New Orleans, LA and Redemptorist Church here in Kansas City often doing services in other area Catholic churches.

He entered into eternal life February 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Harrison. He is survived by Father, Homer and his stepmother, Judy Harrison; sister, Sheri Montgomery and members of the Redemptorist community. A very sincere thank you to the doctors and nurses of Neuro Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke’s Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospice House.
