Louise was born May 11, 1933 in Pierce City, Missouri. Her parents were Raymond and Hattie Miller.
She married Ray Gene Waldo September 13, 1952. They were married 57 years. They have two sons Dennis Waldo and Dan Waldo.
Ray and Louise spent many years traveling and bowling. Louise was a talented seamstress and made suits for Ray. She also enjoyed quilting. Her favorite color was pink. She also had an extensive collection of Barbie dolls and she enjoyed looking for them with her sister Dorothy.
She worked at SW Bell/AT&T for 32 years.
She was an amazing cook. Everyone loved “Grandma’s chicken and noodles.” When her grandchildren were sick they knew Grandma would show up with a big pot of chicken and noodles.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Hattie (Hilker) Miller, husband Ray Waldo, son Dan Waldo, brothers Eddie Miller and Leroy Miller and sister Mary Nelson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Dennis Waldo, four grandchildren Chad Waldo, Amie Arnold, Jason Waldo and Shane Waldo, eight great-grandchildren Olivia Waldo, Aster Waldo, Cash Arnold, Callum Arnold, Eila Waldo, Lenora Waldo, Logan Waldo, and Bruce Waldo, sisters Dorothy Stewart of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Linda Ferguson of Pierce City, Missouri, Patty Elbert of Monett, Missouri, and Debbie Creed of Purdy, Missouri, brother Johnny Miller of Pierce City, Missouri.
A funeral service for Erma will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
Erma will be laid to rest in Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131; Faith Mausoleum; Tier: 248, Crypt: B.
Serving as pallbearers are Chad Waldo, Adam Arnold, Cash Arnold, Callum Arnold, Jason Waldo and Herb Nease.
